What is success? Some people chase money, the perfect career or even social status, and yet, still feel unfilled. That’s because they are identifying with someone else’s definition of success instead of their own.
Want to learn how to become successful?
You have to figure out what success means for YOU, first.
Success is something that you define for yourself. And it’s different for everyone.
Success is what motivates you, what makes you happy, and what helps you to find purpose in life.
I believe in becoming the best version of yourself, giving back, loving others, creating things that matter, and encouraging others to do the same.
Let’s explore what success is and how defining your own success can help you achieve great things in life.
The Path to Success Is There Waiting for You
Some people feel that it’s too late to become successful at something that they’ve always wanted to do.
They say, “I’m too old.”
“If only, I had studied a different major in college.”
“If only, I had chosen a different career path.”
In fact, according to the Forbes Top 100 list of the world’s top company founders, the majority of the founders on this list are over age 35. In fact, some of the most well-known, successful people didn’t start becoming successful until they reached their 50s or 60s.
You’re never too old to become successful.
If you don’t have the right skillset, you can learn.
Success is a mindset.
Remember that “failure cannot overtake you if your will to succeed is strong enough.”
That is a formula that always works.
How I Define Success
Success doesn’t just happen overnight. It takes a lifelong commitment, time, courage, and curiosity to uncover the personal truths that you must answer for yourself in order to find true personal fulfillment.
I love to inspire others and show them that anyone can become successful if they really want to and decide to put in the work for it.
If you’re trying to define success, here are a few questions to ask yourself:
- What does happiness look like and feel like for me?
- Who are my role models for success?
- What are the challenges in my daily life that are keeping me from goals?
- If there were no obstacles to overcome, what would I need to do to become successful?
- Does my daily routine enhance my well-being and happiness?
- How do I express gratitude for the positives in my life?
- What’s my success plan and how will I hold myself accountable?
- What are the milestones of my success plan? What goals do I need to meet to feel fulfilled?
Start believing that you can make the right decisions for yourself.
Don’t chase other people’s vision of success. Success doesn’t mean that you have to compare yourself to others. In fact, this can actually result in you feeling less satisfied and confident about your own achievements in life.
I believe we are all special in our different ways, and we all have something special to offer.
Focusing on your own strengths and goals will help you to stay aligned with your personal values.
How I’m Creating My Own Success Story in 2022
I’ve always wanted to write my own blog. And this year, I finally did. Until now, it had always been something I wanted to do but never started.
I had been working so hard on my businesses and charitable work, I didn’t really have the time to document my entrepreneurial journey.
Finally, it’s the right moment to write my success story and I’m excited to share it with you.
Now, it’s your turn.
Take a moment. Close your eyes. And imagine what your success story looks like.
